What I remember to tell / What I tell to remember is offering a space for stories of continuity and discontinuity to be shared and held.

There was the Kaiser before Hitler, and Bismarck before the Kaiser and Frederick the Great before Bismarck. And before that there were more. Under each ruler millions of Germans fought fanatically, heroically, sacrificially. Their behavior was their free will to execute a program and a readiness to kill and to die for it.

How to speak and how to make work in today's Germany, with its Staatsraison; committing genocide and simultaneously destroying much of its own democratic fabric and cultural landscape. Censorship, funding cuts, police brutality, a biased media, failing national and international law, and booming militarism prepare the grounds for a far-right takeover that has long since arrived.
